Michael Roy, Esq., MBA

With a dynamic background in law, entrepreneurship, business strategy, and education, Michael brings an uncommon depth of experience to every client relationship. He is licensed to practice in New York, Washington, D.C., and California, and currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at Howard University’s Cathy Hughes School of Communications, where he teaches Strategic, Legal, and Management Communication. A lifelong mentor and advocate for emerging leaders, Michael’s work in education reflects his belief in making legal knowledge accessible, actionable, and empowering.

Prior to launching Forseti, Michael served as General Counsel and Chair of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion for INVNT Group, a global creative agency and live production company with operations in seven countries. There, he managed complex legal matters across borders—advising on everything from M&A, employment, and IP strategy to emerging technologies, including AI, metaverse activations, and blockchain-based licensing. His leadership helped navigate the company through high-stakes negotiations and industry-defining innovation.

Michael is also a serial entrepreneur. He owns the College Park, Maryland franchise of Jerk at Nite, a thriving Caribbean restaurant and bar, and co-founded The True Lucent Group, a sports & entertainment consulting firm. This hands-on business experience fuels his practical, clear-eyed approach to legal strategy—he doesn’t just understand business; he lives it.

Over the course of his career, Michael has advised A-list athletes, entertainers, and creative ventures. His clients rely on him not just for contracts and compliance—but for vision, protection, and strategic growth. Michael is deeply committed to equity and inclusion, actively leading DEI efforts in both corporate and academic spaces. He currently serves as a Trustee on the Board of George School, his alma mater, and is a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. He’s also a husband and father, drawing daily motivation from his family and community.
